All servers - pages on all servers are checked.
Current server - pages only on the server where initial page resides are analyzed.
Top level domain - only pages with the same top level domain are analyzed. For example, if the initial page is www.page.com ,then linked pages with domain name "com" only are analyzed.
Show links to other server's pages - if checked, links from current server to other servers are shown. This option is meaningless if "All servers" option is choosed.
Check such pages - connected with previous option. If checked, these "foreign" server pages are analysed (but outgoing links are not shown). If unchecked, these pages are shown as "ignored".
Show all links - all found links to each page are shown on map.
Group parallel links - if there are several links from one page to other, then only one (first found) link will be shown. Good if you would like to get answer to question "Is it possible to navigate from this page to that?".
Map as tree - only one (first found) link to each page is shown. Good if you would like to check appearance of some page in your website but you don't bother about link correctness.
Case sensitive - if checked then corresponding uppercase and lowercase letters are assumed to be the same. For example, pages with names "page.html" and "PaGE.HTMl" are considered as same. If checkbox is unchecked, then pages with different names (even in upper- and lower-case letter meaning) are considered as different.
Ignore '?' and '#' - if checked then pages which differs only by parameters (typed in URL after question mark) or anchor inside page (typed after '#' sign in URL) are considered as identical. For example, if page http://www.somedomainname.com/page.cgi?parameter=1 is already listed, then page http://www.somedomainname.com/page.cgi?parameter=2 will not be listed. In page list only first page with its parameter set will be included. In tree such page is included without parameters part. If checkbox is not checked, then pages different only by parameters are considered as differrent.
Depth - parameter which describes depth of link checking. Initial page is assumed to be with depth 0, all pages having links from the initial have depth 1, and so on.

All pages having depth equal to or less than described by this parameter will be shown on the map (if filtering rules doesn't forbid it).
Show link(s) to next level - connected with "Depth" value. If "Depth" value is n, then links to n+1-st level pages are shown only if this checkbox is checked.
Time limit - describes time limits (in seconds) for page finding (first parameter) and retrieving (second parameter). If during this time limit page is not retrieved, this page is decided to be unaccessible. For slow connections first parameter value must be increased. For large pages second parameter value must be increased.
Change edited page look - Each processed page depending on its current status have its own look (see "Pages" section). ). If you want to emphisize changes, check this checkbox and every edited page status (and look on map) will be changed after editing.
Change zoom automatically - If checked, then after each map refresh map will be zoomed to fit in window. If unchecked, refresh will not change actual zoom.
Keep map layout - If checked, map elements after each refresh will be repositioned using one of previously choosen layout types (Fan-style, Universal, Symmetrical). If unchecked, refresh will not reposition elements. It is assumed that at the beginning map has fan-style layout.
Show print pages - if checked shows dashed lines on map where printout will be cutted taking in account actual page size.
You can choose amount of information printed on one page by changing page size directly on map.
To do this you must at first check "Show print pages". After map is compleated, catch one of
FIRST (upper left corner) page borders and move it (see picture). Page proportions will be saved.
or
Refresh map after adding <value> elements - value describes number of graphical elements (boxes and lines representing links and pages) after adding which map is refreshed. To speed up drawing this value must be as great as possible.
Proxy options are self-explanatory. If you are not quite sure that you need to configure proxy at all, leave all fields blank. On some servers pages have unusual return codes. Return codes are necessary to correctly distinct "bad" and "good" pages. Reaction to obvious return codes (200 - OK, 40x - Errors) can't be managed. For other codes you can change LinkViewer reaction by checking corresponding checkbox. If you are not sure, leave all checkboxes blank.
Prefixes to ignore - during link checking pages with such prefixes (protocol names) are not analyzed. It is possible to show these pages on the map by checking the corresponding checkbox. In that case these pages appear on map, colored as "Ignored page". User can freely update this list by adding new or deleting unnecessary items using "+" and "-" buttons.
File extentions to ignore - during link checking files with such extentions (usualy compressed, sound or picture files) are not analyzed. It is possible to show these pages on the map by checking the corresponding checkbox. In that case these pages appear on map, colored as "Ignored page". User can freely update this list by adding new or deleting unnecessary items using "+" and "-" buttons.
All pages which protocol is NOT mentioned in protocol list and file extention is NOT mentioned in extention list, WILL BE analyzed. If you know in advance, that your website contains lot of files which are free from links to webpages, include such file extention to list. If the options are configured as shown in picture, then for example gif files will be present on map, but jpg files will not. Neither gif nor jpg files will be analyzed.
User can choose one of two possible (orthogonal or straight) line types. Line width, color and font can be specified by controls of corresponding name.
Show link name - if checked, each link are shown on map together with its description - name of link from the host page. If unchecked, links are arrows without names.
After changing line attributes (type, font, colour, width, name appearance) you can see its layout in the connected window and after confirming all links in map will have such attributes.
For each of five page types (accessible, unchecked, ignored, unaccessible or edited) user can specify it's graphical representation choosing bacground and border color and border width. Appearance of each of three text fields (URL, Title and Comment) can be managed by switching on and off checkboxes in "Show" group.
